Click Calibrate Scale (or press C). Click two points across a known reference dimension—such as a graphic scale bar, a dimension line (e.g. 24′-0″), or a standard doorway. Enter the actual real-world length in feet, inches, meters, or centimeters. The tool automatically computes the exact pixel-to-unit scale ratio for all subsequent measurements.
Select the Draw Line tool (L). Click each vertex along a fence line, walkway, wall, or trench. Double-click or press Enter to complete the path. The real-world length is displayed along each segment as well as in the inspector panel.
